My Approach

I want the people who trust me with their dogs to feel confident that each dog is listened to and cared for as an individual. For me, grooming means taking time to get to know your dog, understanding what helps them feel comfortable and building trust at their pace.
When I trained as a dog groomer, I realised how much the handling, pace and environment could shape a dog’s experience. It inspired me to look beyond the finished haircut and learn more about behaviour, emotional wellbeing and ways to make grooming more comfortable.

Fearless Fur grew from a willingness to question traditional grooming practices and do things differently. One size doesn’t fit all: every dog has their own personality, needs and limits.

This approach is for confident dogs too. Whether your dog takes grooming in their stride or needs a little extra reassurance, they receive the same thoughtful care, individual attention and respect for their comfort.

My holistic approach brings together your dog’s emotional wellbeing, physical comfort, and skin and coat care. My training includes a diploma in Canine Communication, Low Stress Handling and Fear Free® certification. I’m also furthering my studies in canine skin, hair and nail care, deepening my knowledge so I can continue to tailor grooming to each dog’s needs.

As a consent-based groomer, I give your dog choice and listen to their body language. Appointments are one-to-one, without force or restraints, and grooming progresses at your dog’s pace, with breaks whenever needed. I use positive reinforcement to build confidence and won’t push through fear or distress to finish a groom. I’ll be open with you about how your dog is coping, what is achievable and any adjustments needed to keep their experience comfortable.

Product selection is equally thoughtful. I choose shampoos and conditioning products to suit your dog’s skin and coat, with careful consideration of ingredients and individual sensitivities.

Before taking on a new dog, I offer a free meet-and-treat to get to know them, discuss their needs and assess whether my service is the right fit. We’ll talk through what grooming could look like for your dog, with their comfort guiding our expectations.

My priority is a relationship in which your dog feels heard, their limits are respected and grooming becomes as comfortable as possible. Humanity before vanity, always.
